About Us
Masters of the Dungeon Verse, or MDV for short, is a program designed to create a community for kids aged 8-17 that are fans of fantasy, science fiction, and storytelling as a whole. Our program features a variety of role-playing games – Dungeons & Dragons, Starfinder, and more! Our team of trained Game Runners tell empathy-based stories that help develop character both in-game and out while introducing a variety of topics including history, philosophy, art, and science.
Decisions made within the game can have a lasting effect in the world and can change the stories that we share. More than just playing games together, we’re creating stories that players will remember for years to come.

She’s worked in gifted education since 2014, and always harbored passions for the arts, storytelling, nature, and helping others. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas, with a focus in 3D animation and digital game design. In her free time, she enjoys cooking giant meals, reading classic science fiction, and of course, wrangling her young son Malcolm with her husband, Adam.
What People Are Saying
“I’ve been looking forward to this all week!”
— A player at their second session
“I can tell you right now that I heard Q on the phone with G and C the other day playing D&D, and I guess she was DM-ing, and I was surprised and impressed with her command of the storyline and her language and general storytelling ability. Also, when you and I originally discussed Dungeon Verse in email and I had a million questions, you said that one of your goals was to help launch kids into their own groups and make their own D&D friends. That has happened with Q and G and C, and they are the only kids she talked to and got together with all summer. They got together often, and I know G’s mom now. As a mom of a kid who has had a difficult time finding her tribe, this is awesome for me to see her where she can be herself and not hide away some of her more awesome qualities (quirkiness, intelligence, imagination, impressive grasp of verbal communication, passion) like many of us have to do in order to “go along to get along” in the so-called “real” world. Just thought you should know a couple of the minor-major successes you’ve had with the program. Great job.”

“She was willing to clean the shower with a toothbrush to be able to attend weekly.”
— Parent
“It is a wonderful and rare opportunity for my child to spend time with like-minded kids who have similar interests. It is a safe place for my gifted learner to use her imagination to the fullest. I love the way she looks forward to this activity. Masters of the Dungeon Verse meetings are the highlight of her week!”
— A Parent
“I like how you can indulge imagination and use logic at the same time. I love the idea that while everyone is imagining a different fantasy world, we are all in the same world that we imagine together. You get to be with people who may think more like you.”
— Player
There is lots and lots of focus on STEM/STEAM [in other programs], which is really great, but there are some gifted kids who really do possess/exhibit that over-excitability in the imaginational domain (and others) that don’t necessarily have a great outlet for it.”
